Anna Dale Edwards Scarbrough

Anna Dale Edwards Scarbrough, 91, entered into Glory September 8, 2008. She is survived by: her children Frank Edward Scarbrough and his wife Lynn Dickey of Germantown, Maryland, Anna Katherine Scarbrough Lowe and her husband Robert Lowe of Kingsport Tennessee, and James Douglas Scarbrough and his wife Lisa of Augusta, Georgia; her grandchildren: Elizabeth Scarbrough of Seattle, Washington; Michelle Lowe Moore and her husband Jason of Greensboro, North Carolina; Jamie Lowe Minton and her husband Johnny of Huntsville, Alabama; Hillary Scarbrough Veith and her husband Ronny of Brooklyn, New York; Gretchen Scarbrough Steketee and her husband Paul of Alexandria Virginia; and Adam Scarbrough of Atlanta, Georgia; and great-grand children McKenzie and Jarrett Moore. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, James Lackey Scarbrough of Maryville, her parents Frank and Sarah Scarbrough of Knoxville and her six brothers all of Knoxville. Anna was a faithful wife and a true life-long partner of her husband. Together, Jim and “Miss Anna” were known for their love for Christ, one another, their family and the community around them. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Maryville for over 50 years and served as the teacher of the 3-year old nursery for 40 years. Funeral service will be at 12 noon Saturday, September 13, 2008, in the McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Ballard officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery in Knoxville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the pre-school ministry of First Baptist Church, Maryville, 202 W. Lamar Alexander Pkwy, Maryville, TN 37801. Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. – 12 noon Saturday at McCammon-Ammons-Click.
