Arlie E. Cox

June 22, 1910 — August 16, 2003

Cox, Arlie Earl – age 93, of Blount County went to be with the Lord on the morning of Saturday August 16, 2003 from UT Hospital, Knoxville. He was a member of Marble Hill Baptist Church. He was born in Jefferson County, TN on June 22, 1910, the son of George W. Cox and Adeline Knight Cox. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers-Tom, Jim and John, his sisters-Rosie Tolliver, Daisy Altman. Aileen Lawless, Nancy White, Mae Rickard, and Berlie Ingram. Survivors include his wife of 59 years Mae Bell Hundley Cox and his children and their spouses David and Gennette Cox of Cartersville, GA, Ann and Jim Coatney of Knoxville, TN, and Dolies and James Bradley of Talbott, TN. He was grandfather to Melissa Johnson, Allen Cox, Kim Ray, Allen Hamby, Jay Coatney, Karen Owen, Kelly Womack, William Bradley, and Elaine Woods. He was great-grandfather to Bruce, Jacob, Courtney, Austin, Felicia, Pressley, Cole, Cheyenne, BaiLeigh, Stone, Nickolas, Tim, Tammy, Audra, Dwayne, and Jason. He was great-great grandfather to Kalynn, Andy, Rebecca, Chase, Chasity, Cassie, Ashley, and Megan. He is also survived by sisters-in-law Helen Cox of Jefferson City, TN, Bertie Hundley of Blount County, and Ann Foust of Ogden. UT and a brother-in-law Jim Hundley of Knoxville, TN as well as many nieces, nephews and other family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 8:00 PM on Sunday, August 17, 2003 at McCammon-Ammons Click Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow. The Rev. William (Butch) Cooper and the Rev. Bill Ross will be officiating. Interment will be at Marble Hill Baptist Church Cemetery on Monday, August 18, 2003 at 11:00 AM. Arrangements by McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, 220 W.
