Betty Ruth Lindsey

LINDSEY, Betty Ruth, age 76 of Maryville, passed away at 9:05 p.m. Sunday, November 11, 2001, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Third Street Baptist Church in Maryville. She is a native of Blount County and has lived her entire life in this area. Her life was consumed with her love for her family and the Lord. She lived by her Bible and was a truly loving wife and mother. Mrs. Lindsey was preceded in death by her parents, W. H. “Hodge” Crisp and Geneva Crisp and five brothers, Paul, Marshal, J. B., Howard and Chester Crisp. She is survived by her husband of 59 ½ years, William L. Lindsey; sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and June Lindsey, and Gary and Joan Lindsey; 3 granddaughters, Deana and Harold Glandon, Danika Lindsey and Cissy and Mark Garner; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Tucker of Maryville and Helen Payne of Almont, CA; brother, R.C. Crisp of Alcoa, formerly of Atlanta, GA; a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eli Henry and Rev. Fred McGill officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Laurel Bank Cemetery for the interment service.
