Billy Akers Mullican, age 93, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Thomas Mullican, Faye Akers Mullican Dillon, son, Thomas Sutton Mullican and brother Thomas Mullican. He is survived by wife, Dorothy Jones Mullican; son, Bill Akers, (Ann Proffitt) Mullican; grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann (Ken Lovic) Mullican, Nicholas Thomas (Nicole) Mullican; great grandchildren, Casey Elizabeth Mullican, Riley Ann Mullican & Kade Woodfin Lovic. Bill Mullican, Sr. was the founder and owner of B.A. Mullican Lumber & Manufacturing Company. He was active in many community activities including serving on the boards of First Tennessee Bank, Lipscomb University, and Blount Memorial Hospital. Visitation on Thursday, May 23, from 5-6:30 pm at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville, TN. Family and friends will meet at 1:00 pm (CST) on Friday, May 24, at Mt.View Cemetery, McMinnville, TN, for a graveside service.
