Blanche Irene (Ogle) Roberts

Blanche Irene (Ogle) Roberts, age 80 of Maryville died Friday, February 7th, 2003 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and kept Nursery for over 40 years. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and was famous for her Christmas Candy. She was Preceded in death by her father and mother, John and Carrie Ogle; Sister Nell McNeilly; her loving husband of 53 years Eugene “Slim” Roberts. Survivors include: Daughters and sons-in-law, Jim and Carol Moore. Vernon and Martha “Marty” Stephens all of Maryville. Grandchildren, Jeff and Peggy Moore; David and Susan Bullen. Great-grandchildren Ashley, Zach, and Haley Moore. Coy and Jonah Bullen. Sisters Ailene Shields, Mary and Rev. Mac Murphy, Anita Thomas. Several beloved brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be 3:00 PM Sunday at Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Rev. Greg Long officiating.
