Carolyn Mcmillan Humphreys Bingham

Carolyn McMillan Humphreys Bingham, age 89, passed away April 11, 2022, at The Lantern-Morning Pointe in Lenoir City. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy; parents, Price P., and Ester L. McMillan; marriages, Jack B. Humphreys, Robert Brown, and Reaves L. Bingham, all deceased.

Carolyn was a nature enthusiast and talented musician and singer. She shared special music interest with, Thos Shipley, a family friend for many years. She served in the Knoxville Choral Society for 25 years and served as President for a time. She was a member of Mountain View Methodist Church. She was also a member of UT Women’s Faculty Club. She worked as a realtor in the Knoxville area for many years and was very involved in Knoxville High School Class of 1951 reunions. Carolyn loved to travel and entertain but loved most time spent with family and friends.

She is survived by her sons, Donald M. Humphreys, and D. Wesley (Peggy) Humphreys; grandchildren, Brennan (Alex) Pilgreen, Courtney Humphreys, Emily (Jeffery) Burgess, Kymmie Hommerding, and Bailey Humphreys; great-grandchildren, Aiden, and Oliver Burgess; lifetime friends, Betty Stapleton, Peg Williams, and Margaret Denney.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, April 20th at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
