Clifford ''Bill'' Evans Jr.

January 7, 1931 — March 12, 2010

Clifford “Bill” Evans Jr. Age 79 of Maryville passed away suddenly on March 12th 2010. He was a graduate of Maryville College and Union College. He retired after teaching for 30 years, the last 20 at Eagleton Junior High School. He was active in the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He also coached girls in fast pitch softball for 30 years and was inducted into the Blount County Sports Hall of Fame. He was in the Navy during the Korean War from 1950-1954. He is preceded in death by his parents Clifford M. Evans Sr. ane Winnie Evans. He is survived by his wife Bobbie Evans, daughter and son in law, Jill and Tim Poole, grandchildren, Daniel,Katie and Fiancé Mark Mason. Brothers in law and sisters in laws, Dale and Wanda Malone and Fred and Jane Atchley and several nieces and nephews. The family and friends will meet at 2:00 p.m. Sunday March 14th 2010 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a graveside service. A memorial service will be at 5:00 Sunday March 14th 2010 at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Ronald Longmire and Rev. Wendell Trotter officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to: First Cumberland Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund. 1301 East Broadway Avenue, Maryville TN 37801.
