Cynthia Russell Smith

Cynthia Russell Smith, age 74, of Maryville, TN went home to be with the Lord on March 8, 2024. She was a member of First Baptist Church Friendsville, where she loved singing in the choir. She was a Histology Technician and worked for many years at UT Hospital and Blount Memorial Hospital. Preceded in death by parents, Fred Russell, Louise Krick, and sister Jean Painter. 

She is survived by her husband Kenneth Smith, daughter Vallerie Newman (Charles) of Luray VA, son Jeff Smith (Leah) Maryville, TN, Brothers John Russell (Pat) Friendsville, TN, & Jim Russell (Sue) Dandridge TN. Grandchildren Michael & William Newman of Luray VA. and Lee Smith, Maryville TN. 

The family will receive friends Sunday March 17th from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at McCammon Ammon Click Funeral Home 220 W Broadway Maryville TN with service to follow and Rev. Bill Gowder officiating. Family and friends will gather at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery 2200 E. Gov. John Sevier Hwy 168, Knoxville, TN 37920 for a 12:30 p.m. graveside interment service.
