Darrell Clay Coulter

August 18, 1927 — April 15, 2010

Darrell Clay Coulter, 82, passed away at Asbury Nursing Home, Maryville, on April 15, 2010. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and a salesman for Maryville Grocery Company and H. T. Hackney Company for many years. He remembered the many friends he served at the many small stores in Blount County. Darrell was a proud veteran of the U. S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred J. and Vina F. Coulter; brother, James L. Coulter, twin brother, Harrell R. Coulter; sister, Mary Frances Caughron. Also preceded in death by the mother of his children, June Sharp Coulter. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; two daughters, Clarinda Nell Bowman of Knoxville and Fredda Joyce Lozada (Choy) of Vero Beach, FL; grandchildren, Kelli Reese (Michael), Oakton, VA, Angela June Bowman of Nashville, Heather Joyce (Jacob) DePriest of Ellicott City, MD; three great grandchildren, Anna, June and Fredrick Reese; sister, Sara Margaret Depew; sister-in-law, Mary Alice Coulter; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery for a graveside service with Rev. Greg Long officiating.
