Donald Gene Brown

Donald G. Brown (“Bumblebee, Diegel”)born: February 14, 1952 Maryville, TN died: January 27, 2023 at Signature Place at Monteagle, TN. Attended school at Chilhowee & Porter. His proudest achievement was to complete the reading program through Blount Adult Literacy under Carol Ergenbright and James Henderson. Preceded in death by parents, Nathan and Mobile Brown, and brother Alvin Nathaniel. Donald loved to write and work on the farm and watch wrestling, and the “Price is Right”, and visiting friends and family. He is survived by siblings: Mack, Raymond, Mary Lou Barton, Frances Wilson-Lynch, Larry (Martha), Ronald, Orange (Rhonda-deceased), Susan (Michael) Washington, William, Lisa (Timothy) Widener. Nieces and nephews: Jacqueline Barton, Kevin Nathaniel Brown, Latisha (Samuel) Wilder, Monica Washington, Barkley Barton, Rebecca (Fredrick)Reid, Stephen-Michael Washington, Joshua Widener, Terrie Brown, Caleb (Reven) Widener and host of great nieces and nephews and cousins, especially double-first cousins: David and (Sandra) Brown of Maryville, and Karen and (Samuel) Perryman of Conyers, GA. special friends John and Susan Keller of Maryville, special thanks to the staff at Signature Place, Monteagle, TN., for their wonderful care for Donald. Receiving of friends, Tuesday, January 31 at McCammon Ammons-Click Funeral Home from 1-3pm, graveside services and burial at Wilders Cemetery immediately afterwards, Rev. Greg Long, officiating.
