Edith M. Whitaker

WHITAKER, Edith M. Huff, age 80 of Alcoa, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2002, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Armona Baptist Church, where she was active in the Church choir and other Church organizations. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Bertha Napier Huff. Survivors include: husband, Robert N. Whitaker, Sr.; daughter and son-in-law, Lequita Ann and Leonard Gonsalves; son, Robert Neil Whitaker, Jr.; granddaughters, Joana Gonsalves, Christina Gonsalves, Shana Gonsalves, Paige Durden Watson; grandson, Robert Daniel Gonsalves; great granddaughter, Jessica Klingler; sister, Ethel Jervis of Corbin, KY. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Lawson officiating. The interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
