Elizabeth Mae Bauder

May 5, 1914 — February 18, 2005

Elizabeth Mae Bauder, age 90 of Maryville, passed away Friday, February 18, 2005, at Asbury Acres Healthcare Center. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Maryville. She was born in Portersville, PA, married and raised her family there. She and her husband were active in their church and in a program called Youth for Christ. Their home was open for food or lodging or listening - whatever was needed. She moved to Maryville in 1985 to be near her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Nancy Stickel; sisters, Lena Cooper, Edna McCleary, Gladys Myers and Hazel Kniess; her husband, Walter Bauder; infant son, Bobbie Bauder. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Bernie Starner; son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Sandy Bauder; grandchildren, Jeff Starner and wife Pam, Lynn Davis and husband Danny, Eric Bauder and wife Yvette, Chris Michael and wife Tara, Joel Michael and wife Carolyn, Jason Michael and wife Nicole; great grandchildren, Curtis and Brian Davis, Luree and Lacy Starner, Jimmy and Elizabeth Bauder, Hayden and Amanda Michael. A memorial service will be Saturday, February 26, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church of Maryville with Pastors Larry and Brenda Carroll and Rev. Bob Hayes officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Asbury Place Fellowship Fund, 2648 Sevierville Road, Maryville, TN 37804 or the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, #1 Billy Graham Parkway, Charlotte, NC 28201.
