Etheleen Mainor, age 83 entered the Kingdom of Heaven peacefully on the afternoon of December 19, 2021 at U.T. Hospital. She was born on October 1, 1938 in Greenback, TN, the daughter of Durwood and Helen (Steele) Jackson.
She was a graduate of Greenback High School. She will remain a treasured memory to anyone who met her. She left the world a better place through her advocacy for the underdog, the downtrodden, and the underprivileged. A social butterfly and avid dog lover with a big personality that was only matched by her love for others. She was her happiest attending church, reading scripture along with books, registering others to vote, and discussing the politics of the day with anyone who would listen. She loved discussing politics almost as much as scripture. She approached both in a boisterous manner filled with love and confidence. She has left us with a lifetime of memories and laughter to join her friends/family (two and four legged) in eternal peace.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Bill Jackson. Surviving are her son David (Coy) Webb and his wife Cathy of Shelbyville, KY; her daughters Cynthia (Cindy) Turner and her husband Bill Turner of Knoxville, TN, Crystal (Kris) Lester of Maryville, TN; five grandchildren, Mandy Pursley and her husband Ryan Pursley, Matthew Webb and his wife Chandra Webb, Marc Webb, Dustin Bryant and his wife Maureen Bryant and Megan Turner along with one great granddaughter Cayleigh Pursley; her two sisters Sue Presnell of Greenback, TN, Elizabeth Holloway and her husband Gillus Holloway of Knoxville, TN and one brother Jerry Jackson of Monroe Mi; many nieces and nephews.
