Frances Wyatt Brooks

Frances Wyatt Brooks, born May 6th, 1921 in Alcoa, Tennessee, passed away December 3, 2008, at Central Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. She was the daughter of Annie Martin and Rex Wyatt and sister of Rex Martin Wyatt and Max Wyatt, who preceded her in death. Her husband of 64 years, Harry Ward Brooks, preceded her in death in November of 2007. Frances and Harry met as students at LMU and were very involved with the university alumni association. Frances is survived by Dr. Ward Brooks, wife Dee and children Ryan Brooks and Emily Broadwater, Andrea Brooks Tucker and husband Byron, and child Trevor Tucker, and Lynda Brooks Dyer and children Brooks Dyer, Blythe Reed, and Alison Jones, and five great grandchildren. She spent most of her adult life living in Maryville with some time spent in Surinam SA, and Rockdale, Texas. She was a wife, homemaker and mother. She was also a long time member of Broadway Methodist Church. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery Saturday, December 20th at 2:00, with services following at Broadway United Methodist Church, 309 E. Broadway Ave., Maryville, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Lincoln Memorial University, University Parkway, Cumberland Gap, Tennessee 37724, or to Broadway United Methodist Church, 309 E. Broadway, Maryville, TN 37804.
