Francis Keith Smelcer

Francis Keith Smelcer age 85, passed away on January 9th, 2022, at UT Hospital. He served in the Air National Guard and retired from The Aluminum Company of America after 25 years of service. He made jewelry for many years; making many customers and friends. He loved cars, actually anything with wheels and an engine, and had a passion for building show cars. He led a simple life but loved sharing stories with family and friends which we’ll all miss dearly. He was a father, grandfather, friend, and jokester. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur & Alma Smelcer.
He is survived by daughter, Sherri Smelcer Phillips, grandson, Derek (Jenna) Phillips, nieces and nephews, special friends Lula Smith & Barbara Gourley. Friends may visit at their convenience 9:00 AM-3:00 PM Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Jude’s Childress Hospital.
