Frank R. Norton

NORTON, Frank, age 90 of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2006, at St. Mary’s Residential Hospice in Halls. He was born March 9, 1916, in Sevier County and moved to Maryville at the age of 2. He was a member of Maryville First Baptist Church since 1926 and retired from ALCOA in 1977 after 40 years of service. He is preceded in death by his wife, Esther McCall Norton, and sister, Jama Norton. He is survived by daughters Judy Dodd and husband, Dick, of Birmingham, AL, Janet Hicks and husband, Mike, of Jefferson City; grandchildren, Josh Hicks and wife, Melanie, of Jefferson City, Dr. Richard Dodd and wife, Holly, of Northport, AL, Matt Hicks of Knoxville; great grandchildren, Graham and Grady Hicks and Emma Dodd; brothers, Ray Norton, Jimmy Norton and wife, Irene, all of Maryville; several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the caring staff of St. Mary’s Hospice. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 26, in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel in Maryville with Rev. David Sharp officiating. The interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-3:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
