Gerald Edward Brimer

Gerald Edward Brimer, 88, of Louisville, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Napoleon V. and Elizabeth Cate Brimer; son John A. Brimer and grandson Jonathan E. Crabtree. 

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Virginia Muller Brimer; sister, Martha Brimer Warren; children, Teresa Gilmore and husband Don, Mark Brimer and wife Robin, and Karen Crabtree and husband Daryl; grandchildren and spouses Allison and Corey Clark, Callie and Bryan

Badgett, Daniel Brimer and fiancée Brandi Sweet, Catherine, Anna, and Avery Crabtree; great grandchildren Chandler Elizabeth and John Oliver Clark.Gerald was president of Brimer Steel Erectors Inc. and previous general manager of Steel Service

Company Inc. He enjoyed antique tractors, gardening, and fishing.

The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Thursday, September 14th at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home in Maryville. The funeral mass will be held at 9:30am on Friday, September 15th at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Alcoa. Father Peter Iorio will officiate. Graveside service will follow at Grandview Cemetery, Maryville.
