Ina Mae Johnston

JOHNSTON, Ina Mae, age 101, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2003 at Fairpark Healthcare Center. She was born July 30, 1902, the daughter of Thomas Houston and Alice Hord Morton. She lived in the Miser Station community for most of her life. She attended Middlesettlements United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Oscar B. Johnston; brothers, Leonard, Granville, George, Allen, Cara, and Ralph Morton; sisters, Carrie O’Connor, Mary Roberts, and Stella Morton; and grandson, Donald Johnston, Jr.. She is survived by her children, Joyce O’Connor and husband Kenneth of Maryville, Donald Johnston and wife Martha of New Egypt, NJ, Margaret Garrett and husband Kenneth of Hickory, NC; grandchildren, John Johnston and wife Sandra of Merritt Island, FL, Melinda Andes and husband Mike of Maryville, Bradley Garrett and wife Cindy of Hickory, NC; great grandchildren, Brian and Jason Johnston, Melissa Andes, and Wesley Garrett; great great grandson, Garrett Johnston; one sister, Athelene Jenkins of Knoxville; many nieces and nephews and special friends at Fairpark Healthcare. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe Black and Don Story officiating. The interment will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. Friday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.
