Jack J. Bruce

Jack J. Bruce, age 87 of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at Morning View. He was a member of Maryville First United Methodist Church, he served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a retired Ford parts man. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Fairy Bruce; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Sam and Jewell Baxter; brothers-in-law, Marvin Lewis, Jack Kidd, Charles (Sharky) Cox and John Baxter and wife Olga; niece, Linda Baxter. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Melba Bruce; sister, Estelle Lewis; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Betty Cox, Don and Billie Baxter, Tom and Genny Kidd Begley, Melvin and Roma Bridges; nieces and nephews, Tony Lewis, Bridget Jenkins, Kim and Betsy Cox, Lori and Shannon Linginfelter, Wayne and Kim Baxter, Preston and Kimberlee Baxter, Bradley and Amber Baxter; great nieces and great nephews, Holly and Brian Child, Courtney and T. J. Hammontree, Katie and Seth Sumner, Charlie Cox, Rachel Baxter, Grayson and Noah Linginfelter, Ellie and Ian Baxter, Ava and Jacklyn (Jack) Baxter, Natlie Foshie, Tom, Stephanie and Michael Bedra; great great nieces and nephews, Conner Landers, Abby Hammontree, Sarah and Emily Child, Georgia and Mason Sumner. Family and friends will meet at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Grandview Mausoleum for the funeral service with Rev. Parker Benson officiating.
