James William "Jimmy" Simerly

James William "Jimmy" Simerly, age 80 of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014, at home. James attended school in Friendsville, TN. In the 1950's he joined the U. S. Navy and served for 20 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Taylor and Beatrice Baldwin Simerly; son, William Taylor Simerly; daughter, Cindy Brown; stepson, Cris Casell and sister, Sally Cornett. Survivors include his wife, Faye Simerly of Knoxville, daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Terry Saxton of Milton, FL, Deeadra and Andy Livingston of Pace, FL; seven grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Mary Evelyn Morgan of Cleveland, TN Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Union Grove United Methodist Cemetery for a graveside service with Rev.
