Joe Lloyd Crye

December 16, 1932 — November 4, 2016

Joe Lloyd Crye 83, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2016. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and enjoyed his many hobbies including photography, bee keeping and motorcycle riding. He especially enjoyed being a member of the Blount British Cars, Ltd Club, and driving his MGB on their many outings. He was an active member of Williamson Chapel United Methodist Church and cared deeply for his church family. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Geraldine A. Crye; parents, Walter and Mary Crye and brother, Lawrence Crye. He is survived by son, Douglas Crye; daughter and son-in-law, Kandy and Jeff Hodge; grandson and wife, Nicholas and Stephanie Hodge; granddaughter and husband Jennifer and Benjamin Mize; great grandchildren, Garret, Adley and Avery; sister, Martha Ann Quesenberry and brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Ruby Crye, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Williamson Chapel Cemetery for a graveside service with Rev. Danny Treadway officiating. Friends may call at their convenience at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
