John David Patterson, Jr.

John David Patterson Jr., born June 12, 1937, in Englewood, NJ, passed away April 1, 2016, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. Survived by wife, Barbara Mynatt Patterson, of Maryville; son, John David Patterson III, Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Thomas Patterson, Fort Polk, LA, Elizabeth and Katherine Patterson, Indianapolis, IN. Predeceased by parents, Ellen and John Patterson Sr., of Upper Saddle River, NJ, and brother, Robert Patterson, of Surgoinsville, TN. John grew up in Upper Saddle River, NJ. He served two years in the United States Army, was a graduate of Fairleigh-Dickinson College and a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. In his retirement years, John joined Fine Arts Blount and spent many happy hours creating beautiful paintings. In keeping with John's wishes, there will be no public services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Maryville, TN.
