John Harold Wells

WELLS, John Harold, age 78 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2006, at his home. He was a Christian who loved people, sailing, art and writing. He joined the U. S. Navy at the age of 15 and saw action in the South Pacific during World War II as a Seaman First Class. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Charlotte Wells of Maryville; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Sabrina Wells of Cookeville, TN; daughter, Sonja Wells of Maryville; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Debbie Wells of Maryville; grandchildren, Zina Teater, Shane and Megan Wells; sisters, Prudia Mae Jaeger of ID, Dorothy Everett of Maryville; several special nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Cordell Simpson officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Vonore for the interment service. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.
