Joy Darlene Akins Moulton

MOULTON, Joy Darlene Akins, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 9, 2007. Mrs. Moulton was preceded in death by her father, Joe Akins. She is survived by her loving family: husband, John H. Moulton; daughter, Cassie; step-son, Eric and his wife Courtney and their daughter Emma; mother, Louise Akins; brother, Todd Akins and his wife Lacindy and their children Derrick and Darla; sister-and brother-in-law, Jan and Bill Jones, their daughters Elisa Chesney, Christa Bennett, Jennifer Crook, and their families; dear friends, Susie Finger, Lisa Atchley Robins, and friends and coworkers from Tennessee Vocational Rehabilitation Center where she worked for over twenty-five years. The family will be receiving friends at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home in Maryville on Thursday, October 11 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be at 8 p.m. Thursday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Burkhardt officiating. There will be a graveside service for family in Tellico Plains on Friday. Joy loved to spend time with her family and friends, and she especially enjoyed watching her daughter Cassie's tennis matches at Carson-Newman. Her smiling face and score-keeping skills will be missed at Carson-Newman. Although Joy is very dearly missed by family and friends, we are comforted by the fact that she is in a better place where she will never feel tired or endure pain again.
