Lucille C. Speer

SPEER, Lucille C., age 86 of Maryville, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2003, at Asbury Acres Healthcare Center. Born in McMinn County, she spent her early years there , attended Tennessee School of Beauty and was a hairdresser for several years. She and her husband, Frank, operated a restaurant in Maryville and she was a member of Maryville First Baptist Church. Mrs. Speer was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Speer and son, Jack “Tony” Speer. Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Ron Hammond; sister, Mamie Parkinson; brothers, Egbert Crittenden and Mansel Crittenden; grandchildren, Stephen Turpin, Melanie Turpin, Deanna Harrell and husband Allen; great grandchildren, Nathaniel and Ethan Harrell; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John Sharp officiating. The interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3-4:00 p.m. Thursday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.
