Martha Gladys Best

Martha Gladys Best, 85, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2009, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a longtime member and Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church of Maryville. She was preceded in death by her parents, S. C. and Gladys Wilkerson; sister, Myrtle Irwin; brothers, Phil and Sam Wilkerson. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, W. O. Best; sons and daughters-in-law, Dusty and Sandra Best, Robin and Sharon Best; grandchildren; great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Jan Wilkerson; sisters-in-law, Una Vee Witt, Juanita Cagle, Bee Gee Wilkerson; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Ballard officiating. The interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Centenary Cemetery.
