Martha L. ''Jerry'' Murphy

Martha L. “Jerry” Murphy, age 75 of Friendsville, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2004, at the home of her daughter in Parrottsville, TN. She was a member of Alcoa First United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Mark M. Murphy and parents, Fred L. and Ruth Porter Griffitts. Survivors include her son, Mark M. Murphy, Jr. of Hendersonville, NC; son and daughter-in-law, James L. and Cindy Murphy of Friendsville, TN; daughters and sons-in-law, Marta M. and Paul Cogburn of Parrottsville, TN and Catherine M. and Andrew Beall of Hendersonville, NC; grandchildren, Michael Murphy, Sarah Murphy, Jennie Murray and husband James, Daniel Cogburn, Angie Lawson and husband Terry, Noah Swabe, Larry Beall and Grace Beall; great grandchild, Taylor Lawson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Green, Dr. Ron Adams and Andrew Beall officiating. The interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. Saturday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville, TN.
