Mary Amanda (Mandy) Rasar

Mary Amanda (Mandy) Rasar- age 94 of Alcoa, passed away Friday, January 29, 2010. Preceded in death by husband, William E. (Ed) Rasar on January 21, 2010. They are still together. Also preceded in death by father and mother, Tom and Gertie Thompson; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Rena Thompson, Gillis Thompson; sister and brother-in-law, Tina Mae and Boyce (Zeke) Sloan; grandson, Larry Bright. Survivors include, sons and daughters-in-law, Verlin and Dorothy (Betty) Bright of Ball Play; Butch and Jackie Rasar of Alcoa, daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Dale Stephens of Maryville; grandchildren, Paula and Neal Buckingham of Maryville, Kim Stephens and Jeff Mausolf of TX, Lennie and Debbie Bright of Seymour; Susie and Ed Cole of Dandridge, Arlie and Kelly Bright of Washington State, Erma and Tony Burleson of Alcoa, Leonard and Carolyn Lewis of TX; 14 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Annie Rae Thompson of Ball Play; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Leon and Retha Kelley and Family; caregivers, Jackie Rasar and Jimmie Akers. Family and friends will meet at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Unitia Cemetery for a graveside service with Rev. Joe Black officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Monday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
