Mary Lee Coleman age 83, born July 8, 1930 in the Loyston Community of Union County, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at Blount Memorial Hospital. As a small child she moved with her family to Blount County when Norris Dam was built. She graduated from Everett High School in 1948 and Maryville College in 1952. Mary Lee taught piano until her retirement and loved all her friends at the produce market. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Maryville, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents Ruben Lee and Gladys Stooksbury Snoderly and son-in-law Peter N. Day. She is survived by her husband, Edward Eugene Coleman; daughter, Lockie A. Coleman-Day of Kingsport; daughter and son-in-law, Lucy Jean Coleman Nash and William Joseph Nash III; granddaughters, Amy Elizabeth Nash and Candice Michelle Nash; brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Robert M. and Rebecca Snoderly of Clyde NC; brother-in-law, Chester S. Coleman; nieces, Anna and Billy Mills of Charlotte, NC, Laura and Nathan R. Croom of Raleigh, NC, Penny and Mark Talley, Donald and Kathy Coleman of Kingsport, TN; great niece, Katherine Mills; great nephews, William A. Mills IV, Audie R. Croom, Jamie and Landon Talley. There will be a graveside service 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Sherwood Memorial Gardens with Pastors Brenda and Larry Carroll officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church of Maryville, 804 Montvale Station Road, Maryville, TN 37803.
