Mary Maxine Boring Mann

Mary Maxine Boring Mann of 1301 Huffstetler Rd, Maryville, Tennessee passed away at 6:20 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, at The University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. Maxine was a member of Kagley's Chapel Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who never met a stranger and loved talking with people and making friends. She was born on May 13, 1928, to the late Alexander Medlin and Jennie Mae Sauls Medlin. Maxine was preceded in death by her first husband Glenn J. Boring, Grandson Jason Boring, and brother Alexander Medlin Jr. She leaves behind her current husband of 38 years James T. Mann and her four children--her son Larry Boring of Centerville, Tennessee; daughters and sons-in-law Janice and Jim Braun of Maryville; Laverne and Jim Copenhaver of Ooltewah, Tennessee; and Brenda and Jim Jordan of Charleston, Tennessee; her stepchildren Don Boring of Maryville and Glennis Ball of Marietta, Georgia. She also leaves behind her sister Charlene and Sidney (Bud) Neubert; brothers and sisters-in-law Jack and Mildred Medlin, Ernie and Brenda Medlin, and Robert (Bob) and Cookie Medlin; and sister-in-law Maybelle Medlin. All of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren lovingly called her Nana. She leaves behind the following grandchildren: Brad Heaton of Melbourne, Australia; Amanda Love of Spring Hill, April Hurley and Chris Braun of Knoxville, Jayme Copenhaver of Ooltewah, and Brittany Boring of Cleveland; and great grandsons Caleb Heaton of Melbourne, Australia and Maverick Hurley of Knoxville. She also leaves behind her loving caregiver Judy Lance. She also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home in Maryville. The funeral and celebration of her life will follow at 8 p.m. in their chapel. Interment will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Kagley's Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery in Maryville.
