Mary Proffitt Wright

WRIGHT, Mary Proffitt -age 87 of Maryville, died Sunday, September 2nd, 2007 at Shannondale from complications following a stroke. She was preceded in death by husband Robert C. Wright, D.D.S., parents Harry H. and Lelia Graham Proffitt, brothers James N. Proffitt, M.D. and wife Ruth Goddard Proffitt, Harry H. Proffitt, Jr. And wife Margaret White Proffitt. Survivors include: son, Robert Charles Wright, JR. of New York City and wife Anne Bailey Wright and their daughter Alice; twin sister Margaret Proffitt Cunningham of Rogersville and husband Ben Allen Cunningham; and Blount Countians sister Elizabeth Proffitt Bell and husband Dean Bell; brothers William F. Proffitt and wife Vera Lusk Proffitt, and Robert D. Proffitt, M.D. Family and friends will meet 3:00 pm Tuesday, September 4th, 2007 at Grandview Cemetery for a graveside service. A memorial service will be 3:00 pm Wednesday, September 5th, 2007 at New Providence Presbyterian Church with Rev. J. Steven Musick and Rev. Ann Owens Brunger officiating. The family will receive friends immediately after the memorial service. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Robert Charles and Mary Proffitt Wright Endowment for scholarships in the performing arts at Maryville College, c/o Advancement Office, 502 East Lamar Alexander Parkway, Maryville, TN 37804
