Matthew (Matt) P. Kidd

Matthew (Matt) P. Kidd, age 54 of Maryville, passed away Saturday July 1, 2017 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Carpenters Campground United Methodist Church, a 1981 graduate of Heritage High School and attended Hiwassee College and ETSU. He was a black belt in Isshinryu Karate. Matt was a kind and generous man. He loved his family and he loved to fish. Preceded in death by: grandparents, Eric and Vera Kidd, Raymond and Carrie Potter; uncles, Dale and Cleve Kidd. Survivors include: parents, Frank and Norma Kidd; sister, Amy (Mike) Kirkland of Maryville; niece, Mackenzie Kirkland. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 5, from 1 until 3 p.m. at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 3 p.m. with Rev. Gilbert Harris and Rev. Chris Boruff officiating. The interment will follow at Carpenters Campground United Methodist Church Cemetery.
