Mayford R. Wilson

Mayford R. Wilson, 94, passed away on October 17th at Asbury Healthcare Facility. He was retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company. He was a life long member of Forest Hills Baptist Church. He loved his family very much. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry R. and Polly Wilson; sisters, Lucille Cagle and Thelma Myers Shinpaugh; brothers, Howard, Lawrence, Ferman and Glen. He is survived by his wife of 76 years, Bettie Helton Wilson; his daughters, Linda (Glenn) Wells of Dallas, TX and Sherry (Don) Peterson of Maryville; grandsons, Doug (Tracy) Wells of Dallas, TX, Rick Wells of Greenville, Mark Peterson of Nashville, Todd Peterson of Maryville; great- grandchildren, Logan, Gracie, Maggie and Hayden Peterson of Knoxville, Emily Peterson of Nashville; sister, Faye (Fred) Hansen; sister-in-law, Shirley (Glen) Wilson. The family extends its appreciation to the staff of the South wing of the Asbury Healthcare Facility. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Friday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Grandview Cemetery for a graveside service with Rev. Gary Thomas officiating.
