Myrtle Tilly

Myrtle C. Tilly - age 89 of Maryville passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2004 at Fairpark Health Care Center. She was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church. Mrs. Tilly and her late husband were house parents for many years at the Blount County Childrens Home, after she retired from there she had a day care in her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Tilly; son, Newman Tilly; son-in-law, Mike Christian. Survivors include her daughter, Barbara J. Christian of Wilmington, NC; grandchildren, Lisa Christian Mason and husband Michael of Rocky Point, NC, Samantha Christian Kemske and husband Andy of New Bern, NC, and Andrew Christian of Wilmington, NC; great-grandchildren, Brice Mason and Cody Mason of Rocky Point, NC; cousin, Eleanor K. Webb of Maryville; extended family, James and Jo Roberts, and Harold and Clara Bell both of Maryville. Family and friends will meet 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Magnolia Cemetery for graveside services with Dr. James A. Daugherty officiating. Friends may call at their convenience at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
