Nancy Renaker Gibson Buechner

Nancy Renaker Gibson Buechner, 82 of Maryville, TN, passed on March 3, 2009. She was a member of the Broadway United Methodist Church in Maryville, TN where she played in the Bell Choir. She graduated from Converse College with a major in Music and completed her Masters at the University of Tennessee. She enjoyed teaching piano while living in Maryville and later in life splitting her time between Florida in the winter and her summer cottage in Walland, TN. She was preceded by her parents, Albert F. Renaker and Nell Margaret Russell; brother, John R. Renaker; her husbands, Howard Brown Gibson and Irving Buechner. She is survived by her daughter, Jane Margaret Gibson of Sparks, NV; son, John Howard Gibson and daughter-in-law, Lydia M. Gibson of Walland, TN; sister-in-law, Helen D. Renaker of Augusta, SC; grandchildren, Paula G. Eldred of Johnson City, TN, Mark S. Lennon of Reno, NV, Heather R. Gibson of Townsend, TN; great grandchildren, Olivia G. Eldred of Johnson City, TN and Makayla Gibson of Reno, NV. A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 6, in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amy R. Probst officiating.
