Otha ''Doc'' B Gillespie

Otha W. Doc Gillespie age 88 of Maryville passed away July 9, 2013 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Viola Gillespie and sister Evelyn Gillespie. He is survived by his wife Glenda Gillespie, daughters and sons in laws Patsy and John Corey, Sylvia and Nathan Waters and Susie and Richie Meacham. Grandchildren, Robert Lane Gillespie, Daniel Corey, Elizabeth Davis, Patrick Corey, Brittany Waters, Maddie Waters, Noah Meacham and Katie Meacham. Great Grand Child Austin Gillespie. Brother, John Theodore Gillespie and sisters Margaret Gillespie and Gaynell Sowders. Many nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Blount Memorial Hospital for their care. The family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a graveside service with Rev. David Simmons officiating.
