Rev. Kenneth Wayne Holder

Rev. Kenneth Wayne Holder, age 74, of Maryville, TN was called home Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was Pastor of Pilgrim Baptist Church. He had pastored many churches in Blount and Knox County during the past 57 years of his ministry. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Holder; parents, Henry and Lela Holder; sister, Barbara Brown; and father-in-law, Kenneth McCall. Survivors include loving and devoted wife of 54 years, Alta McCall Holder; daughter and son-in-law Pam and Steve Ford; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Mike Johnson; grandchildren Allison Holder-Beaver, Alicia Martinez Johnson, Makenzie Ford, Natalie Ford and Blake Johnson; brother and sister-in-law Bill and Sharon Holder; brother -in-law, James Brown; mother-in-law Martha McCall; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews. Many special thanks to Pilgrim Baptist Church for their continuous love and kindness shown to our family. Many thanks to Blount Memorial Hospice care. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm Saturday, Nov. 10, with Dr. John Franklin and Rev. Chris Alexander officiating. Family and friends will meet 2:00 pm Sunday, Nov. 11, at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Bill McCall and Rev. Travis Neely officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Saturday, Nov. 10 at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
