Robert Curtis Campbell

Robert C. Campbell, age 80 of Alcoa, passed away Friday, March 6, 2009 at home. He was retired from the U. S. Air Force and held the highest basketball scoring record for several years at Alcoa High School. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucious and Delean Campbell. Survivors include his wife and high school sweetheart, Mary Nell Hord Campbell of Alcoa; daughters, Lee Fedi, Jill Lund both of FL, Connie Sands of Knoxville, Sally Childress of Maryville; brother, L. A. Campbell of Alcoa; several grandchildren. Family and friends will meet at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the TN State Veterans Cemetery in Knoxville for a graveside service with Rev. Bill Shelton officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alcoa First United Methodist Church Building Fund, 617 Gilbert Street, Alcoa, TN 37701.
