Ruth Leona Potter

May 12, 1920 — August 12, 2003

POTTER, Ruth Everett, age 83 of Maryville, went to be with Jesus at her home, with her family around her, on Tuesday, August 12, 2003. She was a member of Oak View Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Cecil Potter; daughter, Charolett Ann Potter; mother, Molly Lavern Lawhaun Everett; father, Paul Everett; brother, James Paul Edward Everett. Survivors include her children: daughter, Janice Valentine and son-in-law, Donald Valentine, daughter, Kay West and son-in-law, Tedd West, daughter, Freida Hatcher Grothjahn and son-in- law, Harry Grothjahn; son, Charles Potter and daughter-in-law, Philana Potter, son Eddie Potter and daughter-in-law, Mary Potter, son, Mike Potter and daughter-in-law, Darlene Potter; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Mary Magdelene “Maggie” Thomas; several extended family and friends; special friend, Mary Frank. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glenn Gamble and Rev. Charles Bailey officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Oak View Cemetery for the interment service. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Blount Memorial Hospital Hospice, 1095 E.
