Sim B. Hurst

Sim B. Hurst -age 89 of Maryville, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church Alcoa, Veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy, retired from Alcoa with 42 years of service, and member of the Alcoa 25 year club. Preceded in death by wife, Lillian Fay Hurst; son, William H. Hurst; parents, Harvey S. and Stella M, Murphy Hurst; sisters, Romona Cooper and Mildred Ogle; brother, Billy J, Hurst.. Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law; Bob and Janet Hurst of Maryville; daughter and son-in-law; Janet and Dave Holbert of Knoxville; grandchildren, Whitney Hurst, Heather Sowders and husband Tim, Nicholas Belcher, Shane Belcher and wife Katie, Misti Caylor, Keri Allen and husband Mark, Kristy Chisowsky and husband Frank; great grandchildren, Hannah, Emma, and Krista Sowders, Chloe and C.K. Barry; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Myrna Hurst of Maryville, Herbert and Molly Hurst of Illinois; sister, Margaret Graham of Maryville; numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Grandview Cemetery for a graveside service with Rev. Carl White officiating. The family will receive friends 6:30-8:00p.m. Friday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
