Thelma Martin Emert

EMERT, Thelma Martin, age 90 of Maryville, died Thursday, January 10, 2002, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was born and lived most of her life at 511 High Street, Maryville, she was a member of Maryville First Baptist Church and was retired from Proffitts after 45 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley B. Emert; parents, Samuel G. and Nina Barr Martin; and brother, William L. Martin. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Lorraine Martin Wettergreen of Maryville; niece, Cynthia Fish of Louisville; nephew, William L. Martin, Jr. of Hickory, NC. Family and friends will meet at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Magnolia Cemetery for a graveside service with Rev. Charles Ballard officiating.
