BRAGG, Thomas I., age 62, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2007 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He proudly served his country in the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member and Elder at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Tom had been employed at East Tennessee Packing Company and Lay’s Packing Company. He enjoyed gardening and took great pride in his yard. Tom was a devoted family man and his best times were spent with his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a friendly, loving man with a great sense of humor. Survivors include his devoted wife, Sue; daughter and son-in-law; Beth and Roger Byerley; granddaughter, Ashleigh Walbrown; grandson, Bryce Byerley; sisters, Shirley Hamilton and Clarris Skaggs (Herbie) of West Virginia; brother, Joseph Bragg (Brenda) of Smyrna, TN; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Alyce Ann Cate; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Pat and Linda Dooley and family, as well as many other friends. Funeral services will be held at 8 P.M. Monday, October 22, 2007 at McCammon-Ammons-Click Chapel with Rev. Ron Longmire and Rev. John Skaggs officiating. Family and friends will meet Tuesday at 11A.M. in Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the interment service. The family will receive friends at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Monday from 6-8 P.M. Pallbearers will be Bryan Cate, Roger Byerley, Buck Chafin, Carl Kennedy, Pat Dooley and Herbie Skaggs. Honorary pallbearers are Spears Waters, Teddy Henry, Kenneth Cate and Jeff Geddes. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 1301 East Broadway, Maryville, TN 37804. The family wishes to thank the Fourth Floor (MICU) nurses, the Chaplains at Blount Memorial Hospital, Palliative Care and Tom’s Doctors for all the care and compassion that has been shown.
