Starritt, Thomas Monroe (Roe) age 82 of Maryville passed away April 30, 2011 at his home. He was retired from ALCOA and a member of the 25 year club. He was a member of MT. Zion Baptist Church and he preached at several churches in Blount County through the years. He also enjoyed going to Foothills Mall to have coffee and visit with friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Ola and Ethel Clark Starritt, brothers Ralph, Raymond, Julian and Rex. Sisters, Juanita, Mary Ellen and Betty Jean. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Frances Irwin Starritt, Children Charles and Teri Starritt of Sevierville, Nancy Starritt, Bill and Linda Starritt, Edna and Stanley Nelson and Tim and Susann Starritt, all of Maryville, 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, sister in law, Dot Starritt of Louisville, several nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by all. We love you Pap-Pap. Special thanks to Blount Memorial Hospice, Quality Home Health, Rural Metro, Maryville Fire Department and the staff at Dr. Carol Long’s office. The funeral service will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Robinson and Rev. Terry Nelson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery for the interment with Rev. Alan Burchfield officiating.
