Thomas Rush Brabson

Thomas Rush Brabson, age 94 of Travelers Rest, SC, formerly of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015, in SC. He was born in Washington County, TN, to the late Reece W. and Nance Collier Brabson. He was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church, a veteran of World War II serving in the U. S. Navy Submarine Service, retired from ALCOA with 41 years of service, a member of the ALCOA 25 Year Service Club and a member of the American Legion. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Annie Jess (Pete) Brabson and brother, Bob Brabson. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Williams Brabson; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and William Horner; grandsons, Steven Horner and Gregory Horner and wife Heather; 3 great granddaughters and one great grandson. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:00 p.m. Monday in the Grandview Mausoleum Chapel with an entombment service to follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Laura Rasor officiating.
