Virginia Jenkins Wyce Sutton

November 26, 1916 — December 25, 2010

Virginia Jenkins Wyce Sutton, age 94 of Maryville, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2010, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church of Alcoa, retired from Proffitt’s Department Store as a Buyer Manager after 30 years of service, and co-founded the P.T.A. at Eagleton Elementary School in the later 1940's. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles William Sutton. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, David Charles and Elizabeth Sutton of Fountain Inn, SC; daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Gary Trevathan of Maryville; grandchildren, Elizabeth Myles of Colorado Springs, CO, David L. Sutton of Simpsonville, SC, Whitney Sutton of Nashville, Cindy Trevathan of Knoxville, Gary Trevathan, III of Toledo, OH; great grandchildren, Addison Myles, Harrison Myles both of Colorado Springs, CO, Haley Blake of Knoxville. Family and friends will meet at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Sevierville for a graveside service with Rev. David Anderson officiating.
