William Allen Simpson Sr.

William A. Simpson Sr. - age 83 of Maryville passed away Saturday, March 20, 2010 at his home. He was a member of St. Johns United Methodist Church, was a veteran of WWII serving in the U. S. Navy, and was a longtime member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local #102 Knoxville, TN. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Bonnie Jean Simpson; parents, William Audley and Dorothy Mae Simpson; sister, Nancy Joan Cate; brother, Troy Marshall Simpson. Survivors include his daughter, Kathryn Simpson; daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Brett Ramsdell all of NY, NY; son, William A. Simpson Jr. Of Maryville; granddaughter, Holly Simpson, great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Noah Simpson; sisters, Clara Rose Franklin of Maryville, Betty Lou Lamb of Delaware, and Alma Ruth Baxter of Dandridge, TN; several nieces and nephews; friend and caregiver, Judy Williams. Family and friends will meet 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum for the entombment services.
