William M. ''Bill'' Hitson

Hitson, William M. “Bill”, age 88 of Maryville, died Monday December 10, 2001 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church and the ALCOA 25 Year Service Club. He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Hitson; son, Raymond Hitson; grandson, Ricky Hitson; parents, Rev. and Mrs. G. C. Hitson; brothers, Eugene Hitson, Keith Hitson, and Winfred Hitson. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Margaret Jennings Hitson; sons and daughters-in-law, Philip and Norma Hitson of Maryville, Bill and Sylvia Hitson of Atlanta; son, David Hitson of Smyrna, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Eloise and Bob Landers of Maryville; daughter-in-law, Brenda Hitson of Maryville; grandsons, Tim Hitson of Maryville, Brent Hitson and Brad Hitson of Birmingham, David Landers of Knoxville, Kent Landers of Atlanta; granddaughters, Vicki McMahan, Donna Jefferey, Susan Boling and Joyce Spence of Maryville, Sherry Taylor of Atlanta, Melinda Jordan of Brentwood, Connie Fritts of Knoxville, Wendy Johnson of Huntsville, AL; 19 great grandchildren; brothers, Alfred Hitson of Maryville, Howard Hitson of Youngtown, AZ; sister, Ruth Lane of Walkertown, NC. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2001, at McCammon- Ammons-Click Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth B. Green and Dr. Jerald Russell officiating. The interment will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 13, 2001, at Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Wednesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.
