William Townsend ''Townie'' Anderson

W. Townsend Anderson, age 70, died on Monday, December 13, 2004, at his home. He was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church, The Masonic Order, was United States Air Force Veteran and was former Tennessee State Legislator. He was associated with construction materials, banking and state government having served in both Governor Alexander and Governor Sundquist administrations. He was preceded in death by parents, Mary and Bill Anderson and daughter-in-law, Kathy Anderson. He is survived by his wife, Carole Jeanne Bowers Anderson; son, Chuck Anderson; son and wife, Joe and Mary Jane Anderson; grandsons, Joe-Joe Anderson and Reid Walker; sister-in-law and husband, Barbara Jo and Wayne Nabors; niece and husband, Sheri Jo and Wes Brown; nephew and wife, David and Mickey Nabors; grand nieces, Heather and Morgan Nabors and grand nephew, Jamie Wayne Brown and special family member, Hope Townsend Mays. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Broadway United Methodist Church with Rev. Dan Moore officiating. The interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.
