Willie Mae Bryan ''Billie'' Shope

September 5, 1929 — January 31, 2010

Willie Mae (Bryan) Shope “Billie”- passed away Sunday January 31, 2010. She was a very sensitive and caring person. As a local business owner she extended credit and help to many in need. Her home was always open for family and friends. Her laughter, kindness, and joyfulness made her a pleasure to be around. Preceded in death by husband Leon Shope; father, William Rufus Bryan; mother, Ethel Mae Bryan; sister, Georgia Patty. Survivors include: daughter, Penny Kay Hickman and son-in-law, Mike Hickman; son, Jasper Leon Shope; grandchildren, Jody McMurry, Carissa Smith, and Adam Shope; great grandson, Gabriel Smith; brother, Fred Duel Bryan; sisters, Nancy Jane Crye, Shirley Wright, Ruby Roulette, and Mildred Pruett. Funeral service will be held 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Chapel with Mr. Bud Millsaps officiating. Family will meet 11:00 a.m Wednesday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the interment. Friends may call at their convenience at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral. A special thanks to all the care givers at Summitt View nursing home in Farragut who became part of her family over the years.
