March 7, 2002 BRIDGERS, Al, age 82 of Maryville, died Wednesday, March 6, 2002, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a master electrician, was owner and operator of Bridgers Electrical Company, and taught electrical vocation at William Blount High School. Mr. Bridgers was preceded in death by a daughter, Verla Johnson; granddaughter, Melinda Elizabeth Johnson; father and mother, David Lawrence and Cora James Wooten Bridgers; brothers, William Lee, Lewis Gorham, Luther David, and Alonzo Daniel Bridgers; sisters, Mamie Everett, Maude Rebecca Watkins, Lilly Mae Parker, Sudie (Lucy Susan) Johnson, Roberta Estell (Stella) Miller, and Mattie Pearl Boles. Survivors include: wife, Edith Bridgers; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Cecil Thomas of Lenoir City; granddaughter, Amanda J. Denton and husband David L. Denton of Knoxville; great grandchildren, Zachariah James and Joshua Michael Denton; sister, Bessie Eva Keel of Walstonburg, NC.; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Dr Robert Brown officiating.. The interment will follow in Clark’s Grove Cemetery.
